Formatting a SCSI hard disk drive You can use the LSI Logic Configuration Utility program to perform a low-level format on a SCSI hard disk drive. Complete the following steps to format a drive: 1. Select the controller channel for the drive to format from the list of adapters. 2. Select Device Properties from the resulting screen. 3. Use the arrow keys (↑ or ↓) to highlight the drive to format. 4. Use the arrow keys (← or →) or the End key to scroll to the right. 5. Highlight the Format item; then, press Enter to begin the low-level formatting operation. Using the ServerGuide Setup and Installation CD The ServerGuide Setup and Installation CD includes an easy-to-use setup and installation program that is designed for your IBM server. The ServerGuide program detects the server model and hardware options that are installed and uses that information during setup to configure the hardware. You
