Follow any special handling and installation instructions supplied with the battery. 3. Turn off the server (see "Turning off the server" on page 9) and all attached devices and disconnect all power cords and external cables; then, remove the server cover (see "Removing the server left-side cover and bezel (tower model)" on page 55 or "Removing the server top cover and bezel (rack configuration)" on page 57). 4. Lift the adapter-retention bracket on top of the adapter-support bracket; then, remove the full-length adapters and plastic dividers (see "Working with adapters" on page 60). 5. Remove the plastic shield covering the bottom portion of the system board. 6. Locate the battery (connector BH1) on the system board.
