You need to disable the UAC function before performing a silent uninstall. To perform a silent uninstall of System Update from a Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating system, do the following: 1. From the Start menu, open Control Panel, and double-click the User Accounts option. 2. Click Turn User Account Control on or off. 3. Click Continue in the Windows permission dialog box. 4. Deselect the Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer option, and click OK. 5. Restart the computer. 6.
