Default value: SHOW Possible values: • SHOW • HIDE • DISABLE • LOCK • If SHOW, the Schedule updates option is available in the left navigation pane. • If HIDE, the Schedule updates option is not visible to the end user. • If DISABLE, the Schedule updates option in the left navigation pane is displayed but appears dimmed. • If LOCK, the Schedule updates panel can be opened, but the settings in it are disabled and cannot be changed. SearchMode Specifies the type of updates that System Update will be scheduled to search for. Default value: RECOMMENDED Possible values: • CRITICAL • RECOMMENDED • ALL • If CRITICAL, System Update will search for only critical updates. • If RECOMMENDED, System Update will search for both critical and recommended updates. • If ALL, System Update will search for all updates, and all updates will be retrieved. NotifyOptions Enables you to choose the notification options that you want to receive from the System Update scheduler. Default value: NOTIFY Possible values: • DOWNLOAD ANDINSTALL • DOWNLOAD • NOTIFY • DOWNLOAD ANDINSTALL -INCLUDEREBOOT Note: If you set SearchMode to RECOMMENDED, NOTIFY is the only value available for NotifyOptions. System Update cannot run if you select any of the other values for NotifyOptions. • If DOWNLOADANDINSTALL, the scheduler will download and install the updates without end user intervention. • If DOWNLOAD, the scheduler downloads the updates and notifies the end user when the updates are ready to install. • If NOTIFY, the scheduler will search for new updates and notify the end user when new updates are available for download and installation. • If DOWNLOADANDINSTALL -INCLUDEREBOOT, System Update will download and install update packages and then prompt the end user to restart the system.
