Dual-Band Wireless AC Access Point WAC720 and WAC730 User Manual Configure IPv6 Settings The access point supports IPv6. You can manage the access point from an IPv6 address. The access point can also function as an IPv6 DHCP client. Note For information about how to configure the IPv4 settings, see Configure the IPv4 Settings on page 23. WARNING: If you enable the DHCP client, the IP address of the access point changes when you click the Apply button, causing you to lose your connection to the access point.You then must use the new IP address to reconnect to the access point. Tip If you enable the DHCP client on the access point, you can discover the new IP address of the access point by accessing the DHCP server on your LAN, or by using a network IP address scanner application. To configure the IPv6 settings: 1. Open a web browser from a computer that is connected to the same network as the access point or to the access point directly through an Ethernet cable. For more information, see Log In to the Access Point on page 16. 2. In the address bar, enter the IP address of the access point. A login window opens. 3. Enter the user name and password. The user name is admin. The default password is password. The user name and password are case-sensitive. 4. Select Configuration > IP > IPv6 Settings. 5. Configure IPv6 Settings
The access point supports IPv6.You can manage the access point from an IPv6 address. The access point
can also function as an IPv6 DHCP client.
For information about how to configure the IPv4 settings, see
Configure the IPv4

on page 23.
Note
WARNING:
If you enable the DHCP client, the IP address of the access point changes
when you click the Apply button, causing you to lose your connection to the
access point.You then must use the new IP address to reconnect to the access
point.
If you enable the DHCP client on the access point, you can discover the new IP address
of the access point by accessing the DHCP server on your LAN, or by using a network
IP address scanner application.
Tip
To configure the IPv6 settings:
1.
