nik Color Efex Pro 2.0 user guide 21 Traditional vs. Stylizing nik Color Efex Pro filters are comprised of filters that enhance and stylize images. nik Color Efex Pro 2.0 filters are categorized into one of two categories: Traditional filters or Stylizing filters. When accessing nik Color Traditional Filters Efex Pro 2.0 within your image editing application, the filters Stylizing Filters appear in menus based on the filter category. Filters in the Traditional category are filters that enhance an image like a conventional photographic filter or that mimic a conventional photographic process. The Polarization filter, Graduated filters, and the Skylight Filter are all examples of conventional photographic filters, while the Infrared: Black and White, Darken/Lighten Center, and Paper Toner filters are all filters which mimic conventional photographic processes. Filters in the Stylizing category stylize or enhance an image to create a photographic style, or create an abstract transformation. Stylizing filters include the Midnight filters, the Monday Morning filters, and the Photo Styler filters, which create a distinct mood or style. The Flux, Pop Art, and Weird Dreams filters are examples of filters that create more artistic and abstract effects and enhancements.
