Additional Settings To configure Additional settings: ᮣ From a Home screen, touch Applications ➔ Settings ➔ Call settings ➔ Additional settings. The following options display: • Caller ID: Allows you to select how your ID is handled when an outgoing call is initiated. Choose Network default, Hide number, or Show number. • Call waiting: This network service informs you when someone is trying to reach you during another call. Touch Call waiting to activate. • Noise suppression: Your phone is equipped with an advanced voice processing chip that delivers clear mobile calls by suppressing background noise, intermittent sounds (like a siren or nearby conversation), and echoes, which allows you to hear and be heard nearly anywhere. Touch Noise suppression to activate. Sound From this menu you can control the sounds on the phone. 121 Silent mode Silent mode is convenient when you want to stop the phone from making noise, in a theater for example. In Silent Mode the speaker is muted and the phone only vibrates to notify you of incoming calls, or other functions that normally have a defined tone or sound as an alert. 1. From a Home screen, touch Applications ➔ Settings ➔ Sound. 2. Touch Silent mode. An alternative method is: 1. Press the Lock key until Phone options displays. 2. Touch Silent mode to activate or deactivate this mode (the current mode displays). Vibrate Vibrate mode allows your phone to vibrate instead of making a sound. 1. From a Home screen, touch Applications ➔ Settings ➔ Sound ➔ Vibrate. 2. Touch Always, Never, Only in Silent mode, or Only when not in Silent mode.
