Special Keys The following keys perform special functions when entering text: 1 2 3 45 6 10 9 78 1. Android keys: The Menu, Home, Back, and Search keys work like the keys on the front of the phone. For more information, refer to "Front View of Your Phone" on page 18. 49 2. Shift ( ): Press quickly to set uppercase or lowercase. Press twice to set to type all uppercase. 3. Alt ( ): Press once to type special characters and numbers that appear on the top half of the QWERTY keys. Examples 1, 2. Press twice to type multiple characters (CAP LOCK). Press again to deactivate this function. 4. Symbols/Emoticons ( ): Press to display a screen of symbols. Press and then press to display Emoticons. To choose an Emoticon, use the Navigation keys to highlight it and the OK key to type it. 5. Voice to Text ( ): Press to use your voice to enter text using the Voice to Text feature. 6. Space ( ): Press to insert an empty space. Double press inserts a period and a space. 7. Navigation: Use the Up , Down , Left , and Right keys to move the cursor through fields on the screen. 8. OK ( ): Use this key to select or execute a field. 9. Enter ( ): Press to start a new line.

Special Keys
The following keys perform special functions when entering text:

Android keys
: The
Menu

): Press quickly to set uppercase or lowercase.
Press twice to set to type all uppercase.
