4 Replacement Procedures 4.6 Keyboard Installing the Keyboard To install the keyboard, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 4-10. 1. Connect the flexible cable to PJ6. 2. Replace two M2x3 silver screws that secure the keyboard straps. 3. Place the keyboard by inserting the tabs on the bottom of the keyboard into the corresponding holes in the base, taking care not to bend the flexible cable. 4. Secure the keyboard with one M2x4 screw. 5. Replace the keyboard brace. NOTE: If you are installing an optional memory module, do that procedure first. 6. Installing the Keyboard
To install the keyboard, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 4-10.
1.
Connect the
flexible cable
to
PJ6
.
2.
Replace
two M2x3 silver screws
that secure the keyboard straps.
3.
Place the keyboard by inserting the tabs on the bottom of the keyboard into the
corresponding holes in the base, taking care not to bend the flexible cable.
4.
Secure the keyboard with
one M2x4 screw
.
5.
Replace the keyboard brace.
NOTE:
If you are installing an optional memory module, do that procedure first.
6.
Replace the battery as described in Section 4.2.
