7 To assign an instrument to a particular key or pedal. Simultaneously hold down the Data Control button [C] corresponding to "ASS."(Assign) and press the key (or pedal) to which the instrument is to be assigned. The currently displayed instrument will be assigned to the key you press down as a part of User 1. 7-1. While holding down [C] button... NOTE Though 40 User Keyboard Percussion setups can be created, they cannot be memorized to Registration Memory. Only on/off data and the Keyboard Percussion Menu are memorized to Registration Memory. If you want to save the User Keyboard Percussion setups with the Registration Memory, save the data to the USB flash drive (page 147). 40 User Keyboard Percussion setups will be saved to each Unit. 7-2. Press the key. 4 Rhythm/Keyboard Percussion When the assignment is complete, the key name and instrument name is displayed at the bottom of the display. The assignments are saved to the User memory selected in step 2 (in this example, User 1). 8 Repeat the operation steps above as necessary to construct your own User Keyboard Percussion set. To erase one instrument: Simultaneously hold down the [D] button corresponding to "CLR."(Clear) in the display and press the key (or pedal) corresponding to the instrument you wish to erase. (A short 'beep' sound indicates that the instrument has been erased.) NOTICE The Keyboard Percussion on/off data and Menu is automatically saved to Registration Memory when another display is called up. Make sure to switch to another display before turning the power off. A "" mark appears at the top left of the display indicating that the Registration data is currently being saved.
