Sewing Automatic thread cutting The machine can be set to automatically cut the threads at the end of the stitching. If automatic thread cutting is set, automatic reverse/reinforcement stitching is also set. If the machine is turned off, automatic thread cutting will be turned off. Turn on the machine. a Select a stitch. b • For details on selecting a stitch, refer to "Basic sewing" on page 33. Touch c on the screen. Set the needle in the start position, and press the "Start/ d Stop" button once. Stitching will begin after reverse stitches (or reinforcement stitches) are sewn automatically. Once you have reached the end of the stitching, press e (Reverse stitch button) or (Reinforcement stitch button).
