Embroidering Preparation While pressing in the lever on embroidery foot "Q" e with your finger, place the embroidery foot bar above the needle clamp screw. IMPORTANT • Before attaching the embroidery unit, be sure to turn off the machine. Otherwise, the machine may be damaged. • Keep your hands and other objects away from the embroidery carriage and frame when they are moving. Otherwise damage or malfunction may occur. CAUTION • Do not move the machine with the embroidery unit in place. The embroidery unit may be dropped and cause injury. Turn off the machine. a Pull the flat bed attachment off to the left. b Slide the tab on the cover of the connection port in the c direction of the arrow to open the cover. CAUTION • Use the included screwdriver to firmly tighten the screw of the embroidery foot. If the screw is loose, the needle may strike the presser foot. The needle may break, possibly resulting in injury. Touch h to unlock all keys and buttons. Note • Be sure to close the cover of the connection port when the embroidery unit is not being used. 78

holder screw, making sure that embroidery foot “Q” is

Hold the embroidery foot in place with your right
hand, and then use the included screwdriver to
securely tighten the presser foot holder screw.

Touch
to unlock all keys and buttons.
Attaching the embroidery unit

Turn off the machine.

Pull the flat bed attachment off to the left.

Slide the tab on the cover of the connection port in the
direction of the arrow to open the cover.
CAUTION
Use the included screwdriver to firmly tighten
the screw of the embroidery foot. If the screw
is loose, the needle may strike the presser foot.
The needle may break, possibly resulting in
injury.

IMPORTANT
Before attaching the embroidery unit, be sure
