Install I/O Baseboard and Tray 6. Install the LXr 8500 I/O tray as follows (see Figure 5-6): a. Set the I/O tray into place. b. Press the latches back to engage the connectors. c. Fasten all three screws. WARNING It is important that you install the I/O tray before the processor tray, and that you screw in all three of the I/O tray screws at this time. If this order of assembly is not followed, you might find problems with the interconnects and with the alignment of screws. 47

6b. Press the latches back.

Install the LXr 8500 I/O tray as follows (see Figure 5-6):

Set the I/O tray into place.

Press the latches back to engage the connectors.

Fasten all three screws.
WARNING
It is important that you install the I/O tray before the
processor tray, and that you screw in all three of the I/O tray
screws at this time.
If this order of assembly is not followed,
you might find problems with the interconnects and with the
alignment of screws.
