Sending the Same Document to Several Recipients (Sequential Broadcasting) The machine allows you to send the same document to a maximum of 113 recipients in one operation. NOTE If you frequently send documents to the same group of recipients, you can group these numbers for group dialing. This will allow you to send documents to all recipients in the group at the press of one or a few keys. Sending Faxes 4 1 Place the document on the platen glass or load it in the ADF ➞ press [FAX]. For details on how to place or load documents, see Chapter 3, "Document Handling," in the Basic Guide. 2 Adjust any necessary settings for your document. • Press [Image Quality] to select the fax resolution. (See "Adjusting the Image Quality (Fax Resolution)," on p. 4-5.) • Press [Exposure] to select the scan density. (See "Adjusting the Exposure (Scan Density)," on p. 4-6.) 3 Enter the fax/telephone numbers you want to send to. ● To use one-touch speed dialing: ❑ Press the one-touch speed dialing key(s). You can dial up to 12 destinations. ● To use coded speed dialing: ❑ Press [Coded Dial] ➞ use the numeric keys to enter the two-digit code. You can dial up to 100 destinations. NOTE Repeat the step above to enter the other codes if necessary. ● To use regular dialing: ❑ Use the numeric keys to enter the fax/telephone number ➞ press [Set]. You can dial up to one destination. The machine allows you to send the same document to a maximum of 113
recipients in one operation.
NOTE
If you frequently send documents to the same group of recipients, you can group these
numbers for group dialing. This will allow you to send documents to all recipients in the
group at the press of one or a few keys.

Place the document on the platen glass or load it in the ADF
press [FAX].

Adjust any necessary settings for your document.
Press [Image Quality] to select the fax resolution. (See “Adjusting the Image Quality
(Fax Resolution),” on p. 4-5.)
Press [Exposure] to select the scan density. (See “Adjusting the Exposure (Scan
Density),” on p. 4-6.)

Enter the fax/telephone numbers you want to send to.
To use one-touch speed dialing:
Press the one-touch speed dialing key(s). You can dial up to 12 destinations.
To use coded speed dialing:
Press [Coded Dial]
use the numeric keys to enter the two-digit code. You can dial
up to 100 destinations.
NOTE
Repeat the step above to enter the other codes if necessary.
To use regular dialing:
Use the numeric keys to enter the fax/telephone number
press [Set]. You can dial
up to one destination.
Press [Redial / Pause] to redial the last number dialed with the numeric keys.
