If the machine is connected to a rotary pulse line, follow this procedure to set the machine temporarily for tone dialing: 1 Press [FAX]. 2 Press [Hook] or pick up the handset of your telephone. NOTE When using your telephone, you need to connect it to the machine. (See "Connect the telephone cable and necessary external device," in the Set-Up Instructions (for MF5750 users) or Set-Up Instructions for the Machine (for MF5770 users).) 3 Enter a destination using the numeric keys on your telephone or using a one-touch speed dialing key, coded speed dialing code, [Redial / Pause], or the numeric keys on the machine. Many banks, airline, and hotels provide automated information services that require
tone dialing. If the machine is connected to a rotary pulse line, follow this procedure
to set the machine temporarily for tone dialing:

Press [FAX].

Press [Hook] or pick up the handset of your telephone.

When using your telephone, you need to connect it to the machine. (See “Connect the

Enter a destination using the numeric keys on your telephone or
