Error Codes Errors in reports are recorded as error code numbers because there is not enough space to print a detailed description of the error in the report. When errors are recorded in reports, note the error code number, and check it against the table below to learn more about what caused the error and how to remedy it. #0001 Cause There may be a document jam. Remedy Clear the jam. #0003 Cause 1 A document longer than one foot is being sent from the feeder. Remedy Divide the document into pages and resend from the platen glass. 7 Cause 2 Data is too large and taking too long to send a document. Remedy Reduce the scan resolution and resend. Cause 3 It's taking too long to receive a page. Remedy Contact the other party and have them reduce the scan resolution or split the document into segments and resend. Troubleshooting #0005 Cause 1 The other fax machine did not respond within 35 seconds. Remedy Send the document again. Contact the other party and have them check their fax machine. If you are making an overseas call, add a pause to the number. Cause 2 The other party may not be using a G3 fax machine. Remedy Check with the other party and send the document to a G3 fax machine. Cause
There may be a document jam.
Remedy

Cause 1
