FAX SETTINGS Machine Settings Name Descriptions 1. RECEIVE MODE Sets how the machine receives fax and telephone calls. FaxOnly The machine automatically receives faxes, all calls will be answered as fax transmission. Voice calls will then be disconnected. FaxTel The machine automatically switches between fax and voice calls. Fax will be received automatically, and the machine will ring for voice calls. AnsMode The machine receives documents automatically and the answering 8 machine records voice calls. DRPD The machine distinguishes fax and voice calls by using Distinctive Ring Pattern Detection and lets you know if the call is a fax or voice call. FAX SETTINGS
Name
Descriptions
1. RECEIVE MODE
Sets how the machine receives fax and telephone calls.
FaxOnly
The machine automatically receives faxes, all calls will be answered as fax
transmission. Voice calls will then be disconnected.
FaxTel
The machine automatically switches between fax and voice calls. Fax will
be received automatically, and the machine will ring for voice calls.
AnsMode
The machine receives documents automatically and the answering
machine records voice calls.
DRPD
The machine distinguishes fax and voice calls by using Distinctive Ring
Pattern Detection and lets you know if the call is a fax or voice call.
Manual
The connected telephone rings when the machine receives both fax and
voice calls. Fax calls must be answered manually. If <MAN/AUTO
SWITCH> is set to <ON>, faxes can be received automatically. (See <5.
