NOTE
If you set <5. MAN/AUTO SWITCH> to <ON> in <FAX SETTINGS> of the Menu, the
machine will receive faxes automatically even when the receive mode is set to <Manual>.

If you want to select <FaxOnly>, check the following:
Select This Mode If:
you have a dedicated telephone line for fax use only.
you only want to receive faxes automatically with the machine.
You Will Need to:
set <FaxOnly>. (See “Setting the Receive Mode,” on p. 5-1.)
connect the machine to a dedicated telephone line. (See “Connect the telephone cable

When You Receive a Fax Call
The machine will receive the fax automatically.
When You Receive a Voice Call
You will not be able to answer the call.
NOTE
If you connect a telephone to the machine and enable the <INCOMING RING> setting,
the telephone will ring when the machine receives a voice call, and then you can answer
the call.
You can select the number of rings. (See <4. INCOMING RING> of “Menu Descriptions,”
on p. 8-4.)
