Before Using the Machine - If you want to turn the main power off, first turn the control panel power switch off, and then press the main power switch to the " " side. - If you turn off the main power, wait at least 10 seconds before turning the main power back on. - Do not turn the main power off if you want to be able to send or receive fax/I-fax documents. Sending or receiving fax/I-fax documents cannot be done when the main power is turned off. - If User ID Management is set to [On], the machine will take longer to become ready to scan. - You can set the initial screen (the first screen that appears when the machine is turned on) from the Additional Functions screen. The initial screen can be the Copy, Send, Scan, or System Monitor screen. (See "Common Settings," on p. 12‑6.) - The machine will enter the Sleep mode if the main power switch is pressed when the machine's power is on and a certain type of optional equipment is connected. 1‑8

Before Using the Machine

If you want to turn the main power off, first turn the control panel power switch off, and then press the main

power switch to the “

” side.

If you turn off the main power, wait at least 10 seconds before turning the main power back on.

Do not turn the main power off if you want to be able to send or receive fax/I‑fax documents. Sending or

receiving fax/I‑fax documents cannot be done when the main power is turned off.
