2-8 Removal and Replacement Procedures Left Side Access Panel Remove the top cover to service the hot-plug drive cage, CD-ROM drive, power supply, and backplane board. To remove the left side access panel: WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the internal system components to cool before touching them. 1. Perform the preparation procedures. See page 2-2. 2. Open the front bezel. 3. Loosen the two thumbscrews attaching the left side access panel to the front of the chassis. 4. Slide the left side access panel back and pull it away from the chassis. Figure 2-3. Removing the Left Side Access Panel Reverse steps 1 through 4 to replace the left side access panel.

Removal and Replacement Procedures
Left Side Access Panel
Remove the top cover to service the hot-plug drive cage, CD-ROM drive, power supply,
and backplane board. To remove the left side access panel:
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot
surfaces, allow the internal system components to cool
before touching them.
1.
Perform the preparation procedures. See page 2-2.
2.
Open the front bezel.
3.
Loosen the two thumbscrews attaching the left side access panel to the front of
the chassis.
4.
Slide the left side access panel back and pull it away from the chassis.

Reverse steps 1 through 4 to replace the left side access panel.
