DES-3000 Series Layer 2 Switch CLI Reference Manual 14 TRAFFIC SEGMENTATION COMMANDS Traffic segmentation allows you to further sub-divide VLANs into smaller groups of ports that will help to reduce traffic on the VLAN. The VLAN rules take precedence, and then the traffic segmentation rules are applied. The traffic segmentation commands in the Command Line Interface (CLI) are listed (along with the appropriate parameters) in the following table.
