Syntax config snmp engineID Description The config snmp engineID command configures a name for the SNMP engine on the Switch. Parameters − An alphanumeric string between 10 and 64 characters that will be used to identify the SNMP engine on the Switch. Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command. Purpose
Used to configure a name for the SNMP engine on the Switch.
Syntax
config snmp engineID <snmp_engineID 10-64>
Description
The
config snmp engineID
command configures a name for the
SNMP engine on the Switch.
Parameters
<snmp_engineID 10-64>
−
An alphanumeric string between 10 and
64 characters that will be used to identify the SNMP engine on the
Switch.
Restrictions
Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To give the SNMP agent on the Switch the name “0035636666”
