9 hello-time DRAFT: BROCADE CONFIDENTIAL hello-time Synopsis Operands Defaults Command Modes Description Usage Guidelines Examples See Also Sets the interval between the hello Bridge Protocol Data Units (BPDUs) sent on an interface. hello-time seconds no hello-time seconds Specifies the time range in seconds for the interval between the hello BPDUs sent on an interface. The range of valid values is 1-10. The default is 2 seconds. Protocol Spanning Tree mode Use this command to configure the spanning-tree bridge hello time, which determines how often the device broadcasts hello messages to other devices. Use the no hello-time command to return to the default settings. When configuring the hello-time, the max-age setting must be greater than the hello-time setting.
