DRAFT: BROCADE CONFIDENTIAL max-hops 9 max-hops Synopsis Operands Defaults Command Modes Description Usage Guidelines Examples See Also Configures the maximum number of hops for a Bridge Protocol Data Unit (BPDU) in an MSTP region. max-hops hop_count no max-hops hop_count Specifies the maximum number of hops for which the BPDU will be valid. The range of valid values is 1-40. The default is 20 hops. Protocol Spanning Tree MSTP mode Use this command to configure the maximum number of hops for a BPDU in an MSTP region. This parameter is used by all the instances of the MSTP. Use the no max-hops command to return to the default value. Specifying the maximum hops for a BPDU prevents the messages from looping indefinitely on the interface. When you change the number of hops, it affects all spanning-tree instances.
