When the leading edge of the paper reaches the paper-positioning plate, contact is broken. ● When the leading edge of the first sheet reaches the paper-positioning plate, the paper-positioningplate paper sensor (PI8) turns on. Subsequent sheets will not be checked because the first sheet will still be over the sensor. ENWW Theory of operation 621
