Server Specific Troubleshooting When the server does not start: 1. Be sure that the server and monitor are plugged into a working outlet. 2. Be sure that the power source is working properly: - Check the status using the system power LED. For the location and status of the system power LED, refer to Chapter 1, "Component Identification." - Be sure that the Power On/Standby button was pressed firmly. For details on what else to check, refer to the Servers Troubleshooting Guide. 3. If the server does not complete POST, or it does complete POST but does not load the operating system, refer to the Servers Troubleshooting Guide. NOTE: If the server is rebooting repeatedly, be sure that the server is not restarting due to an Automatic Server Recovery-2 (ASR-2) power-up caused by another problem. Check Insight Manager 7 for notification of this event. Refer to the Servers Troubleshooting Guide for more information. 4. Restart the server. 5. Check for the following normal power-up sequence to be sure that the server meets the minimal hardware requirements and is powered up under normal operation: a. Server Specific Troubleshooting
When the server does not start:
1.
Be sure that the server and monitor are plugged into a working outlet.
2.
Be sure that the power source is working properly:
— Check the status using the system power LED.
For the location and status of the system power LED, refer to Chapter 1,
“Component Identification.”
— Be sure that the Power On/Standby button was pressed firmly.

3.
If the server does not complete POST, or it does complete POST but does not
load the operating system, refer to the

NOTE:
If the server is rebooting repeatedly, be sure that the server is not restarting due
to an Automatic Server Recovery-2 (ASR-2) power-up caused by another problem. Check
Insight Manager 7 for notification of this event. Refer to the

for more information.
4.
Restart the server.
5.
Check for the following normal power-up sequence to be sure that the server
meets the minimal hardware requirements and is powered up under normal
operation:
