ATA Cabling Observe the following guidelines when adding ATA hard drives to the server: • A maximum of two hard drives may be added per channel. The server is equipped with two integrated ATA/100 RAID channels. • Jumpers on ATA devices should be set to Cable Select (CS), enabling primary and secondary devices to be determined by the cable. • Connect ATA hard drives only to the Integrated ATA/100 RAID controller channels. Do not connect other peripherals to the Integrated ATA/100 RAID controller channels. To cable an ATA hard drive: 1. Complete the hardware installation procedure. 2.
