NOTE: If you have expansion boards installed, it may be necessary to remove them to gain access to the battery. Refer to Chapter 4, "Hardware Options Installation." 5. Remove the battery: a. Press outward on the latch at the top of the battery holder to release the battery. b. Lift the battery away from the holder. To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure. IMPORTANT: Replacing the system board battery resets the system ROM to its default configuration. After replacing the battery, reconfigure the system through RBSU. Remove the battery:
a.
Press outward on the latch at the top of the battery holder to release the
battery.
b.
Lift the battery away from the holder.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
IMPORTANT:
Replacing the system board battery resets the system ROM to its default
configuration. After replacing the battery, reconfigure the system through RBSU. Refer to
Chapter 5, “Server Configuration and Utilities.”
