[PHONES] Terminal Audio output from the [PHONES] terminal can be selected using [Audio Monitor] in the [A/V Out] menu (A Page 87) as well as the [MONITOR SELECT] switch on the camera recorder. The different combinations of settings that are output from the [PHONES] terminal and monitor speaker are as follows. [MONITOR SELECT] [Audio Monitor] Switch Settings Settings [CH-1] ^ [BOTH] [Mix] [CH-2] [Stereo] ^ [PHONES] Terminal L R CH1 CH1+CH2 CH1 CH2 CH2 IEEE1394 Connection Note: ● When connecting the camera recorder to an external device using an IEEE1394 cable, make sure to observe the following. Improper connection may cause the circuit of the connected unit to malfunction. ● Turn off the power of the camera recorder and connected devices before connecting the IEEE1394 cable. ● Do not connect the cable in an environment where static electricity occurs or is likely to occur. ● Make sure that each camera recorder is connected to only one external device at any one time. ● Turn off the power of the camera recorder and connected devices before switching the [HD/DV] IEEE1394 terminal mode switch. ● A message indicating AVIDEO FORMAT INCORRECTB appears if the format of the input/output video signals from the [IEEE1394] input terminal is different from the [HD/DV] IEEE1394 terminal mode switch setting. Adjust the [HD/ DV] IEEE394 terminal mode switch according to the video format. Connecting an external device to the IEEE1394 terminal enables you to perform the following. A Backup recording (A Page 116) The images recorded on the SDHC card in the camera recorder can be backed up. B Stream transmission to a non-linear editing system (A Page 117) Playback images on the camera recorder can be stream output during editing using a non-linear editing system. VIDEO FORMAT INCORRECT ● If the [INT/EXT] IEEE1394 interface terminal switch is set at AEXTB and the AHQB mode is selected in [Frame & Bit Rate], signals will not be output from the [IEEE1394] terminal.
