Accounts and Messaging G Notifications. Enable this option if you wish to receive a notification in the Status Bar when a new text or multimedia message arrives. G Select ringtone. Allows you to select a ringer to sound when a new message is received. Tap this option, and then select a ring tone that is specific to new text and multimedia messages. A sample will briefly be played upon selection. G Vibrate. Enable this option if you want the device to vibrate when a new text or multimedia message is received. Text Messaging and MMS Your device's advanced messaging capabilities let you send and receive many different kinds of text messages. Messaging settings allow you to decide how you would like to be notified of new messages, create a signature with each sent message, and create your own preset messages. Viewing Notifications of Received Messages When you receive a message, your device notifies you by displaying an icon within the Notification area at the top left of your Home screen. 157
