Scanning 16 • Kerberos 5 REALM-Specify the realm for the Kerberos 5 authentication protocol. This field contains a maximum of 255 characters. • NTLM Domain-Specify the domain name for the NTLM security protocol. This field contains a maximum of 255 characters. 5 Click Submit. Configuring the weblink option for sending e‑mails Setting up the weblink The weblink option for sending e‑mails lets users send scanned documents to a storage area on an HTTP server. The created weblink is then sent to the e‑mail recipient. Consider this option if the e‑mail server has storage or file‑size restrictions or e‑mail activity on the printer is excessive, which affects network bandwidth. It is also a more secure way of scanning to e‑mail. Note: Make sure that you have successfully configured the SMTP server before setting up the weblink. For more information, see "Setting up the SMTP server" on page 15. 1 From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > E‑mail/FTP Settings > E‑mail Settings. 2 From the Web Link Setup section, configure the settings. • Server-Type the IP address or domain name of the web server. This field contains a maximum of 128 characters. • Login-Type the user name to use for the weblink. This field contains a maximum of 128 characters. • Password-Type the password to use for the weblink. This field contains a maximum of 128 characters. • Path-Type the network path to store the files. This field contains a maximum of 128 characters. • File Name-Type the base file name. • Web Link-Indicate the weblink information to send to the recipient. This field contains a maximum of 128 characters. 3 Click Submit. Activating the weblink 1 From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > E‑mail/FTP Settings > E‑mail Settings. 2 From the E‑mail Settings section, locate the E-mail images sent as setting. 3 Select Web Link. 4 Click Submit.
