Faxing 21 Setting up the fax cover page 1 From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > Fax Settings > Analog Fax Setup. 2 From the Fax Cover Page section, configure the settings. • Fax Cover Page-Specify the frequency of using the fax cover page. • Include To field-Specify whether to include the recipient information. • Include From field-Specify whether to include the sender information. • From-Type in the sender information. This field contains a maximum of 255 characters. • Include Message Field-Specify whether to include the Message field. • Message-Type in a message to the recipient. This field contains a maximum of 512 characters. • Include Logo-Specify whether to include the sender logo. • Import Fax Logo-Set the logo. • Include Footer [x]-Specify whether to include the Footer [x] field. • Footer [x]-Set the Footer [x] field. This field contains a maximum of 1024 characters. 3 Click Submit. Configuring the fax send settings 1 From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > Fax Settings > Analog Fax Setup. 2 From the Fax Send Settings section, configure the settings. • Resolution-Set the resolution of the scanned image. • Original Size-Specify the size of the original document. • Sides (Duplex)-Specify the page orientation of text and graphics when scanning a two‑sided document. • Content Type-Specify the content type of the original document. • Content Source-Specify the source of the original document. • Temperature-Specify whether to generate a cooler or warmer output. • Darkness-Adjust the darkness of the scanned image. • Dial Prefix-Enter a dialing prefix, such as 99. A numeric entry field is provided, which contains a maximum of 16 characters. • Dialing Prefix Rules-Establish a dialing prefix rule. • Automatic Redial-Adjust the number of redial attempts based on the activity levels of recipient fax machines. • Redial Frequency-Increase the time between redial attempts to increase the chance of sending fax successfully. • Behind a PABX-Set the printer to dial a fax number without waiting to recognize the dial tone. • Enable ECM-Activate Error Correction Mode (ECM) for fax jobs. • Enable Fax Scans-Fax documents that are scanned at the printer. • Driver to fax-Allow the print driver to send fax. • Allow Save as Shortcut-Save fax numbers as shortcuts in the printer. • Max Speed-Set the maximum speed for sending fax. • Custom Job scanning-Turn on scanning of custom jobs by default. • Scan Preview-Show a preview of the scan on the display.
