Networking 27 Setting up the Address Book This section lets you configure the Address Book security settings for accessing and searching internal accounts. 1 From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > Network/Ports > Address Book Setup. 2 Configure the settings. • Server Address-Type the server address. This field contains a maximum of 128 characters. • Server Port-Type the server port. • Use SSL/TLS-Determine the type of encryption used. • LDAP Certificate Verification-Determine if LDAP server certificate is requested. This menu setting is available only in some printer models. • Use GSSAPI-Enable strong encrypted authentication through Generic Security Service Application Program Interface (GSSAPI). • Mail Attribute-Specify the attribute used to identify e‑mail addresses. This field contains a maximum of 127 characters. • Fax Number Attribute-Specify the attribute used to identify fax numbers. This field contains a maximum of 127 characters. • Search Base-Specify the starting point for address book searches. This field contains a maximum of 128 characters. • Search Timeout-Determine how long a search is processed before giving an error message. • Displayed Name-Specify how a name is shown. • Max Search Results-Determine the number of maximum search results sent by the server. • Use user credentials-Require the use of user credentials for accessing the server. • Device Credentials-Configure the device credentials used to search internal accounts. • Search Attributes-Specify the object classes for each address book search. • Search specific object classes-Determine the criteria for searching specific object classes. • Manage LDAP Servers (Security)-Add or modify an LDAP setup. For more information, see "Using LDAP" on page 37. • Manage LDAP+GSSAPI Servers (Security)-Add or modify an LDAP+GSSAPI setup. For more information, see "Using LDAP+GSSAPI" on page 39. 3 Click Submit.
