Chapter 7 Erasing pictures Recorded pictures can also be erased. This can be done either one frame at a time or to all the pictures in the card. Note ● It is not possible to erase protected pictures or pictures stored on a card that has a write-protect seal. ● Once erased, pictures cannot be restored. Single-frame erase This function only erases the picture displayed on the monitor. Erasing further pictures must be done one-by-one if using this function. Mode dial setting Erase button Arrow pad 1 Select a picture you wish to erase by using the arrow pad. ● If the picture is protected, cancel the protection first (P. 136). 2 Press the (erase) button. ● The ERASE screen is displayed. 3 Press Ñ to select YES. 4 Press to erase the picture. ● To cancel erasing, select NO in step 3 and press , or press the button again. button ERASE screen ERASE YES N O SELECT GO 137
