Operation UPS SETUP OVERVIEW Your UPS supports a variety of advanced configuration options that can be set up via the front panel LCD screen interface. Some external battery configurations will require the use of External Battery Configuration Software and a RS232 connection to the UPS. PowerAlert UPS monitoring software can also be used to access many advanced configuration options through the use of a direct USB, RS232 or SNMPWEBCARD connection (skip past the LCD set-up instructions for advanced configuration options using PowerAlert). 1. USING THE LCD INTERFACE This UPS supports a variety of user setup options and custom configurations that can be accessed via the front panel LCD screen. Configuration and information items include. 1. Output Voltage 2. Output Frequency 3. Frequency Converter/Regulation 4. Bypass range 5. Economy Mode 6. Audible Alarm 7. Overload Alarm 8. External Batt. 9. IP address To access the UPS SETUP MENU, press the SETUP BUTTON for approximately 3 seconds and release. To gain access to all configuration items, Turn off connected equipment and set the UPS to STANDBY MODE (the UPS is in STANDBY mode when the 3 character LCD display reads "OFF"). Many LCD configuration items cannot be changed in ON LINE, ON BATTERY, ECONOMY or FREQUENCY REGULATION/CONVERTER modes. If a non-supported configuration item is attempted during these modes, the LCD will report "no" to confirm the selection is not available in the current operating mode. Once your configuration settings are complete, EXIT the SETUP MENU by pressing and holding the SETUP BUTTON for approximately 3 seconds. UPS Set-up Using the LCD Screen To access the UPS SETUP MENU, press the front panel SETUP BUTTON for approximately 3 seconds and release. 1 The OUTPUT VOLTAGE selection screen will appear. The last selected UPS OUTPUT voltage setting will appear. If this is your first time running the SETUP MENU, the factory default setting of 120V will be shown. OUTPUT VOLTAGE refers to the nominal output voltage of the UPS. This value is most commonly set to match the prevailing country or region-specific nominal voltage. In general, use 120V for USA and Canada, 127V for Mexico and 100V for Japan. Additional values of 110 & 115V are also available. Note: Certain voltage settings will cause automatic de-rating. See specifications on unit label for de-rating info. ACCEPT AND ADVANCE To ACCEPT the current value & ADVANCE to the next configuration screen , press the ON/SELECT button (less than 1 second). VIEW ALTERNATE SETTINGS To VIEW ALTERNATE SETTINGS, press the SETUP BUTTON repeatedly (under 1 second each). AVAILABLE VALUES* 120V (factory), 127V, 100V, 110V, 115V LEAVE UPS SETUP MODE To leave UPS setup mode, PRESS and HOLD the SETUP BUTTON (about 3 seconds). NOTE - the UPS must be in STANDBY MODE to change the output voltage setting * The currently selected value will show as solid. UPS SETUP OVERVIEW
Your UPS supports a variety of advanced configuration options that can be set up via the front panel LCD screen interface. Some external
