Operation 5 The ECONOMY MODE selection screen will appear. ECONOMY MODE is a UPS setting that enables enhanced efficiency and reduced BTU output by suspending double-conversion circuits whenever input power is already of sufficient quality to run connected equipment. If enabled, the UPS will run in economy mode when the voltage is within ±10% of nominal. If the voltage goes beyond the ±10% range, the UPS returns to on-line mode. ACCEPT AND ADVANCE To ACCEPT the current value & ADVANCE to the next configuration screen, press the ON/SELECT button (less than 1 second). VIEW ALTERNATE SETTINGS To VIEW ALTERNATE SETTINGS, press the SETUP BUTTON repeatedly (under 1 second each). AVAILABLE VALUES OFF (factory), ON LEAVE UPS SETUP MODE To leave UPS setup mode, PRESS and HOLD the SETUP BUTTON (about 3 seconds). NOTE - the UPS must be in STANDBY MODE to change the economy mode setting 6 The AUDIBLE ALARM selection screen will appear. The AUDIBLE ALARM screen gives the user the ability to permanently enable or disable the UPS's audible alarm in case of an alarm event. The factory configuration of ON is ideal for most applications. Certain applications may require the alarm to be disabled, in which case the option of OFF can be selected. ACCEPT AND ADVANCE To ACCEPT the current value & ADVANCE to the next configuration screen, press the ON/SELECT button (less than 1 second). VIEW ALTERNATE SETTINGS To VIEW ALTERNATE SETTINGS, press the SETUP BUTTON repeatedly (under 1 second each). AVAILABLE VALUES ON (factory), OFF LEAVE UPS SETUP MODE To leave UPS setup mode, PRESS and HOLD the SETUP BUTTON (about 3 seconds). 7 The OVERLOAD ALARM selection screen will appear. OVERLOAD ALARM refers to the point at which the UPS will sound its' overload alarm. The factory setting of 105% will provide adequate overload warnings for most applications, but alternative values from 5% to the 105% default (in 5% intervals) are available for custom configurations.
