Troubleshooting Problem Cause A source cannot be recorded by an analog component connected to the AUDIO OUT jacks. The source component is not connected to the analog AUDIO IN jacks of this unit. The sound field parameters and some other settings of this unit cannot be changed. "Memory Guard" in "Option" is set to "On". This unit does not operate properly. The internal microcomputer has been frozen by an external electric shock (such as lightning or excessive static electricity) or by a power supply with low voltage. "CHECK SP WIRES" appears in the front panel display. Speaker cables are short-circuited. There is noise interference from digital or radio frequency equipment. This unit is too close to the digital or highfrequency equipment. The picture is disturbed. The video source uses scrambled or encoded signals to prevent dubbing. This unit suddenly enters the standby mode. The internal temperature becomes too high and the overheat protection circuitry has been activated.
