Overview of Blocks In AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT, symbols are called blocks. A block is a collection of objects that are associated into a single object. Use blocks to represent objects such as a trees, fasteners, or doors. Blocks are typically defined and stored in drawings called block libraries, or symbol libraries, from which they can be inserted into other drawings.
