Making the Most of the Printer Driver I Optimizing Images Low-resolution images, such as web-page graphics downloaded via the Internet, and images you have enlarged with a graphics application often contain jagged edges. To smooth these edges when printing, turn the Image Optimizer on. 1 2 3 Open the Canon BJC-55 Properties or Canon BJC-55 Printing Preferences dialog box and click the Effects tab. Check Image Optimizer to enable the Image Optimizer setting. Click OK. The printer properties dialog box closes and printing starts. Note • The Image Optimizer setting may have little or no effect on printing, depending on the application you are using. • The Image Optimizer setting has more effect on low-resolution images than on high-resolution ones. • Using the Image Optimizer may slow printing down.
