Transporting the Printer Follow this procedure to pack the printer carefully for transporting to a service center or for long term storage. Use the packing material that you saved when you unpacked the printer. I Packing the Printer 1 2 Press the POWER button to turn off the printer. This secures the cartridge holder in the home position. On the right side of the printer, slide the Power Lock switch to the left position. This locks the printer off so it cannot be turned on accidentally during transportation. The next time you use the printer, make sure that you slide the Power Lock switch to the right position before you press the POWER button to turn on the printer. Note 3 4 5 If the optional Auto Sheet Feeder is attached, remove it. If the AC adapter and USB interface cable are connected, disconnect them from the printer and the power outlet.
