Problems and Solutions Check to see if you have disrupted the infrared data transfer in progress or activated another infrared communication device nearby Do not disrupt the infrared communication between the printer data port and the computer port. Any physical disruption of more than 10 seconds will cause cancellation of the print job, and blank sheets will be ejected from the printer. Remove any physical object blocking the line of sight between the infrared ports on the printer and computer. Do not attempt to use other infrared devices nearby while a print job is executing. For example, using electrical home appliances such as a remote controlled TV could disrupt the infrared data transmission between the printer and computer and cause the print job to halt.
