Maintaining BJ Cartridges and BJ Tanks Be sure to use BJ cartridges and BJ tanks within six months of purchase to ensure optimum printing. To avoid leaking or drying, follow these simple precautions: • Do not attempt to disassemble a BJ cartridge or BJ tank. • Do not shake a BJ cartridge or BJ tank. • Do not unpack a BJ cartridge or BJ tank until you are ready to install it. • Do not remove BJ tanks from the BJ cartridge unnecessarily. • To prevent drying out the print head, do not use the print head unit with a BJ tank missing. • Always install a BJ cartridge or BJ tank as soon as you remove the protective cap. Caution • Keep unused BJ cartridges and BJ tanks out of the reach of children, and discard used BJ cartridges and BJ tanks immediately. If spilled, the ink is difficult to clean.
