Using the Scanner With Macintosh I Applying Special Effects to an Image Special effects such as edge emphasis, line emphasis, pixelization, posterization, and low relief can be applied to a scanned image, creating an image with a feeling different from that of the original. 1 Click the Menu button in the main dialog box, select Enhance, and then select the desired function from the submenu.
