Flash Photography Using flash is recommended when the [I] icon is displayed on the screen, when subjects in daytime shots are backlit, or when you shoot under low light. 1Use the lever to raise the flash. 2Press the shutter button halfway. zz Confirm that a [I] icon appears on the screen. 3Take the picture. zz The flash fires according to [Flash firing] settings (=251). zz To retract the flash after shooting, push it down with your fingers until it clicks into place.
