The exposure setting (shutter speed and aperture value) is displayed for approx. 8 sec. or as set for the metering timer.* * By default, the metering timer is set to 8 sec. Pressing Completely This action shoots. zz Preventing Camera Shake Hand-held camera movement during the moment of exposure is called camera shake. It can cause blurred pictures. To prevent camera shake, note the following: zz Hold the camera steady. zz Press the shutter button halfway to autofocus, then slowly press the shutter button completely. zzIf you press the shutter button completely without pressing it halfway first, or if you press the shutter button halfway and then press it completely immediately, the camera will take a moment before it takes the picture. zzEven during menu display or image playback, you can go back to shootingready state by pressing the shutter button halfway. 59
