Autokey IKE This chapter describes steps to create a VPN connection using Autokey IKE. Autokey IKE (Internet Key Exchange) provides a standard method to negotiate keys between two security gateways. For example, with two firewall devices, IKE allows new keys to be generated after a set amount of time has passed or a certain threshold of traffic has been exchanged. Accessing the Autokey IKE window: Click Autokey IKE under the VPN menu to enter the Autokey IKE window. The Autokey IKE table displays current configured VPNs. The fields in the Autokey IKE window are: Name: The VPN name to identify the VPN tunnel definition. The name must be different for the two sites creating the tunnel. Gateway IP: The external interface IP address of the remote Firewall. Destination Subnet: Destination network subnet. PSK/RSA: The IKE VPN must be defined with a Preshared Key. The Key may be up to 128 bytes long. Status: Connect/Disconnect or Connecting/Disconnecting. Configure: Connect, Disconnect, Modify and Delete. - 116 -
