The Exit screen displays the following options: • Save Changes and Exit • Discard Changes and Exit • Return to Setup NOTE: For most options, any changes that you make are recorded but do not take effect until you restart the system. Configuring Your Managed System
Off:
COM1 and COM2 are both disabled and not available for use by the

Use the up- and down-arrow keys to navigate to the
External Serial
Communication
field and press <Enter>.

Use the spacebar to select the appropriate external serial communication
option.
The available options are
COM1
,
COM2
, and
Remote Access.
The default option is
COM1
.
NOTE:
Select
Remote Access
to access the BMC through the serial cable
