You should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product. 1. Unpack the new power distribution board assembly. 2. Align the three screw holes on the PDB with the holes on the power supply bay. 3. Using a 10 in-lb. torque tool, tighten the screws to secure the PDB to the power supply bay. 4. Install the power supply bay. 5. As applicable, install the AC or DC power supplies and power supply blank. 6. Close the system. 7. Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn the system on, including any attached peripherals. System Battery Replacing The System Battery WARNING: There is a danger of a new battery exploding if it is incorrectly installed. Replace the battery only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer. See your safety information for additional information. 98
