GBIC modules are installed and removed by inserting them into the system board from the front of the unit. Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) traps are generated upon GBIC insertion and removal. 1. Pull down the metal swing bar on the front of the GBIC and pull it out, as shown in Figure 6-2. 2.
