Chapter 9 Operational Settings z When both [Start] and [End] are set to "0", multifeed detection is performed for the whole area regardless of whether it is enabled or disabled. z To disable multifeed detection for the whole document, select [Disable] and set the start position to "0" and the end position to equal the document length or longer. z If you set a value larger than the document length for the start position, selecting [Disable] detects the whole length of the document and selecting [Enable] disables the multifeed detection. z To detect multifeeds, the detection range must be at least 5 mm in length. Configure the setting so that the value of the end position minus the start position is 6 mm or more. z You can also set the start and the end positions by the following methods: - Draw an area with the mouse on the displayed image. - Drag the handles for [Start] and [End] positions on the displayed image. Multifeeds are detected for the area in light blue.

end position to equal the document length or longer.
